What is Quality Matters

Come learn about Quality Matters’ standards and what they mean to course design

TCSES uses the Quality Matters Rubric to review online courses at several affiliates. Quality Matters (QM) is a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. Quality Matters has generated widespread interest and received national recognition for its peer-based approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement in online education.

This webinar walks you through the latest edition of the rubric, provides a brief overview of each section, and provides strategies for creating outcomes, rubrics, and measurable/aligned assignments in order to its requirements.

Learning Objectives:
1. Explore the purpose of Quality Matters and its implications on course design
2. Review the latest Quality Matters rubric and its scoring system
3. Discover how assignments are built based on Learning Outcomes to ensure alignment
